NavigationUpcoming Club EventsAugust- MN State Fair Competition August 5th: Bottle Sort, Northern Brewer Warehouse August 17-18th: Judging Sessions, Summit Brewery events center August 25th: Live Best-of-Show judging and medal ceremony If it's the third weekend of August in Minnesota, that means it's time for MN State Fair Homebrew Competition judging! The Primary Fermenters organizes the MN State Fair Homebrew Competition annually, so we need YOU to help sort entries and judge beers/ciders/meads. We will judge all of the beers along with our good friends from other MN clubs in a whirlwind weekend of beer judging at the Summit Brewery events center. If you are thinking of getting involved in a PF event and becoming a member, this is an incredible opportunity to do so- everyone is welcome, regardless of your experience (or lack thereof) in judging beers, and it is always a fun event! See you there!!! October- Cider Pressing In 2017, the club tried a fun new method to get all of our cider juice- rather than ordering a big tub of cider, we had an all-day Club party where we pressed 3,600 lbs. of apples that we brought back from WI in a semi-truck (seriously). The cider presser worked like a pro and everyone had a blast tasting beers and throwing apples into the shredder, so we'll be doing this again in 2018. |
